Word Family Posters, ADORable push pins, Fun Craft Website!

Hi friends. How are you today? Are you off for Easter break yet?
I have a few fun things to share today. . .be sure to read to the end.

First, I wanted to give you a preview of my new listing in my Teachers Pay Teachers store. It is a 104 page set of word families and sounds posters. Here is a peek . . .(sorry that the screenshots came out a little weird on a few.)

Second, have you seen these adorable push pins from Amazon? I just got some and they are super cute!!! I think my husband thinks I am a little bit crazy but I think he is used to it by now . . .;)

Third, I have just discovered a neat crafting website. It is 30minutecrafts.com. I love that the crafts are organized by type and how much time the projects entail.

I found this cute idea over the weekend.

Lastly, I am going to be part of an awesome blog hop with great freebies starting on Thursday evening! Be sure to come back and check it out. You won't want to miss it!

Half Sheet Journal Freebies

Hi guys. I hope you are having a nice Sunday. I have been working on school stuff but am about ready to work on laundry. I wash all of my school clothes on delicate and hang to dry, ironing as necessary . . .so it takes a little time above plain old regular laundry. We are also cooking a big pot of corned beef and cabbage. Yum!

My Firstie's write in a journal most days in addition to regular writing time in their notebooks. They love their journals and it gives them a way to express happenings in their lives. By this time of year they are tired of the full size journals that have a place for a picture. They just want to get "right to the writing" so I made some half size booklets to use for the remainder of the school year . . .here they are in case you would find them useful . . .

I hope you have a good week!

The effects of DAYLIGHT SAVINGS and a FREEBIE!

Here in Utah we have daylight savings time. :(  If you don't have to switch back your clocks in your state, you are probably not feeling like death warmed over every single morning....  It is the third day since we have been on the "new time."  Each morning you would think would get better, but my body has not adjusted to waking up an hour earlier and going to bed an hour later.  Anyone else feeling the effects of Daylight Savings Time???

On a happier note!  Here are some fun reading strategy anchor charts!  We read them every day in reading groups and when my students get stuck we go through them like a checklist!  I posted them on TPT!  But here are a couple free ones!

Teacher Pay Teacher     OR    Freebie

Y.... long E or long I

Do your students know what Y says at the end of a word!
Here is a a small freebie, to help let your students know when the /Y/ has a long /i/ sound or a long /e/ sound!!!  I got this idea from The Teachers Wife Blog.  She used it with a and an.  I made one of those too, because I wanted them to match!!!

Downton Abbey Obsession is interfering with the amount of work I am getting done!

Hello everyone! Well, as you can see I have not posted since last Sunday. It was parent conference week and so there were a few late nights. My time at home has been spent catching up with this:

Apparently I have been living under a rock because I had very limited knowledge of Downton Abbey. However, when Chari told me about it the same week as my brother in law, I figured I better check it out. Since then I have watched Season 1, Season 2 and part of Season 3 on Blue-ray  I am completely addicted. I come home from work with intention to watch 1 episode and 3 episodes later, I have to force myself to turn it off. It is the only show I watch that I don not multitask at the same time. (Hence, my limited computer time this past week or so. LOL) Even as I am working this morning, I am planning the time later that I can go watch the next episode!

So, tell me, do you watch this program? Who is your favorite character?

I also just pinned this cute St. Patty's Day decoration for the home . . .Could easily be adapted for any theme!

I am currently working on a couple of items for my TpT Store. I will keep you updated.
Have a great week!

Great finds from TpT and St. Patrick's Day Printable!

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a nice day. Can you believe it is March already!? We have parent conferences starting tomorrow so we have a  busy week ahead. My husband and I had the pleasure of attending our son's college music recital a couple of days ago and it was awesome! For those of you with college age kids . . .isn't it weird and wonderful all at the same time to watch them as they make the transition from kid to adult?

I am still getting over that nasty head cold, on antibiotics for sinus infection and bronchitis. Do you have a tip for an antibiotic that works great for this? I am not sure mine is working as well as it should.

In other news Lucy went to the beauty parlor. We had her cut pretty short because she had some mats due to the wet and snow. Here she is:

I can't even begin to express how spoiled rotten she is!

Have any of you discovered the Teachers Pay Teachers App? I have it on my IPad and I love it! It is so easy to find fun things! Here are a few items that I have recently purchased.

This weather packet from A Cupcake for The Teacher is darling! I think the art projects are super cute.

This Water Cycle pack from Chankyna is full of helpful resources.

This National Symbols Chant Book from Judy looks like lots of fun!

And last but not least I have a St. Patrick's Day Printable for you . . .

Click here to download and print.

Just as a reminder, don't forget to drop by my At Home Facebook Page to see all of the new  home decor items in my store . . .just click on the image to check it out.
