Calendar Math

Don't you just love Teachers Pay Teachers!  It wasn't that long ago that you had to buy/order teacher books to get ideas.  Now you have dozens of books that you have to store somewhere and don't know what to do with! On TpT you can just find anything you want that other teachers have made. One of my favorite finds is the Smart Calendar Math by Mrs Magee!  Her clip art is so cute and the activities are editable for your math program.  I start off the year with just a few pages and add to them each month.

Fab Finds Linky and February Currently.

Hi everyone! First off, I want to thank the ladies at Honey Bunch Blog Design for our cute and awesome, 2 column look! I love it!

Secondly, I am linking up with Christy and Tammy from Fluttering through First Grade for their linky party!

My School Find

This isn't really a recent find for me, but it is one of my favorite finds of all time. I don't know what we would do without this for hanging things on our brick walls at school. I buy it 2 or 3 packs at a time at Wal Mart.

My Home Find

I found this nail polish over the Christmas break. I love the fact that it is base coat, color and top coat all in one! I hate all of the individual steps.

And here is my February Currently. I am linking up with Farley from Oh' Boy 4th Grade.

Neighborhood Project, Fun New Book

Hey everyone! Have you started school yet? We had our 10th school day today and it is amazing how far we have already come with rules and procedures. We have been learning about neighborhoods. I saw a cute idea on Pinterest and decided we would do it as well. The kids really enjoyed it and they turned out so cute. We put them in the hall for others to enjoy . . .

I also wanted to share a book with you that I recently found. It is for me, not for school. The first time I saw it we were in a shop at Pier 39 in San Francisco this summer. It was one of those, "Should I buy it or not?" moments. The type when you are purchasing something else, you are toward the end of vacation and think you shouldn't spend any more money . . .well, I didn't buy it . . .wished I did. . .went home and ordered it from Amazon anyway! Have you ever done that? Here is the book:
Click here to see it on Amazon

There is also a darling calendar (which I DID buy on vacation)

Have a good evening . . .

Happy New Year and a Couple of FuN FinDs!

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't posted for a while. Over the Christmas break we were finishing up some home construction, having carpet installed, moving stuff out of storage etc., etc. . . so in other words ExTrEme ChAoS has been the norm at our house for the last few weeks! I will admit that there was a day or two that I had to go out into the garage where the chest of drawers was located to get my underwear! (no pun intended. ha, ha) I hope everyone had a great break. We started back to school today. My class was stellar! I think they were glad to be back. Today I am actually sharing a couple of fun finds that I got over the break.

1. Fuji Instax Camera.
This is so unnecessary but entertaining none the less. It takes mini sized Polaroid photos . . yes Polaroids- remember those?! A throw back to another time . . . Mine came from Amazon.

2. Black and Decker Flex Vac
COOLEST thing ever! . . .and I really mean that. I can't tell you how many times we have reached for this rechargable little vaccuum during the last couple of weeks. Love it for quick clean ups. It comes with a few different attachments including one that reaches under the edge of the stove. It is also wonderful for stairs. Ours came from Walmart.

Gift Card Idea!

Hey everyone! We have 4 days until break? How about you? This is off subject but I wanted to share something that I put on my other blog. This year I came up with a new idea for wrapping gift cards. I used small jelly jars, crinkled paper, and 3D scrapbook stickers. They turned out really cute! I have just really started adding to my other blog. It has digital scrapbooking layouts, decorating, craft ideas, and fun finds. Come on over! I'd love to have you follow me. Remember--it's a work in progress. . .

Super Quick Banner

Tonight I just had to try out some Christmas scrapbook paper and the GLITTER! I threw together a quick little craft to hang on the bathroom mirror. I have a similar type banner in my classroom except that I threaded ribbon through instead of using clothespins. The lighting in the picture isn't great, but here it is if you want to see:

Glitter-iffic!

If you love glitter, you will LoVe this! It is the prettiest glitter I have ever used. It is from the Martha Stewart Craft Collection. I have posted a picture of the colors here, on my personal blog. I am going to use it to decorate some small canning jars and put a gift card in it for a present, along with some christmassy shredded paper in the bottom and a bow around the jar.

Just For Fun

OkAy! Here it is! I mentioned in my previous post that if I could dig it out, I was going to post a copy of one of my son's letters to Santa. He is 19 now, and this letter dates back to when he was about 6 1/2 or 7 years old. Fun memories. . .of course it goes without saying that this is a color copy of the letter because the original naturally went to the North Pole.
 Love ya Son! Hugs, Mom
