Nouns, Verbs, Sentences and Wordpress!

Hi everyone! I wanted to share an activity that we did recently. We have been learning about complete sentences. This activity is about Nouns, Verbs and Adverbs. We worked on it as a class by reading words from each category and then deciding where it would make sense. The kids liked it a lot and have been enjoying referring to the poster.

I also wanted to mention that we have been doing some rearranging in blog world. My husband and I have decided to turn our Blogger Robin's Nest blog into a family blog so that we can keep extended family updated on kids, grand kids, travel and wedding plans. I have been working on a WORDPRESS.ORG blog for our crafts and projects blog. It has been interesting to work with a different platform, but I am liking it.
If you were a follower at therobinsnest.com you will want to hop on over to therobinsnestdesigns.com and start following there! Even if you weren't a follower before, come on over!

We have a lot of projects in the work that I will be blogging about over there!

Noun and Verb Sort Freebie, Martha Stewart Glitter

Hey gang! Happy Sunday! I am going to JoAnn Fabrics today because last week I earned that 30% off card that starts today, including sale and clearance items. Yay! We have been on Fall break, and return to school on Tuesday, The weather has been great, but is supposed to start going downhill this week I think. Boo!

This is kind of off topic, as I often am, but have you ever used Martha Stewart's glitter? I used it recently to glitter a photo frame for Halloween and it is gorgeous! Here is the picture, but the photo doesn't even begin to do it justice.

Also, I am including a little freebie today.

Nouns and Verbs

HaPpY ThUrSdAy!!

As Becca mentioned in an earlier post, we use the book, Month by Month Trait Based Writing Instruction by Walther and Phillips.  It has a lot of great ideas and recommended read alouds. One activity is about Nouns and Verbs and helps the kids to learn the difference between a noun and a verb and involves matching the noun and verb that makes sense. I wanted it to be fun and inviting and something that the kids could match up on the floor or in a pocket chart.
