Spelling Word Practice (Simply Monday)

Hello BlOggY FrIenDs!
Sorry I haven't posted since last week but I was sick for Spring BREAK! However, I know other teachers will understand when I say I am grateful it was break because I didn't have to prepare for a sub! Anyway, I hope you all had a great weekend. :)
Today I am going to start (and try to keep it up ;) a new feature called "Simply Monday" where I will share just a little something fun or new or interesting that I have tried.

Today I wanted to do something just a little fun and different to practice writing our spelling words. I grabbed a large piece of white bulletin board paper and put it on the floor.  The kids loved sitting around by friends and working. Here it is . . .

Have a great evening!

  1. How fun!! My kids go nuts every time we pull out the butcher paper to work on something haha! This would be perfect for one of those mornings when I don't have it all together! :) (That never happens, right?!)

  3. I'm reading this in bed with my daily chai tea before I get up to get ready for school and I just remembered i forgot to do something for todays spelling....perfect timing. I LOVE this idea. That's what we're going to do for spelling today. Thank you, Lory. (Sorry to hear you were sick, but glad you're better).
